This fall, preschoolers in Manassas City, Virginia will be learning languages in a whole new way. Manassas City will provide preschoolers that come from low income households with access to a free literacy software called Footsteps2Brillance. This will provide the 100’s of children this past year that could not go to preschool a chance to be on the same academic level when they enter kindergarten.
Students will be able to attend face-to-face classes two or three days a week. When they are home they can learn using Footsteps2Brillance which is an online book that is in both english and Spanish. The bilingual book has been proven to increase vocabulary, comprehension, and critical thinking skills.
