Morrissey March Madness

March 10– Del. Joe D. Morrissey was released from 90-day jail sentence for sex scandal with his 17-year-old receptionist last year.

March 15– the now 18-year-old woman at the center of the Joe Morrissey sex scandal gives birth to a baby boy. According to Richmond Times-Dispatch. Delegate Morrissey was there for the birth. Morrissey is still accused of forging documents as part of the case involving pride. That trial will take place in April.

March 21-. Morrissey confirms plans to run for the Virginia Senate seat currently occupied by Senator Rosalyn Dance (D-16th Senate District)

March 22– Kevin Sullivan and Floyd Miles Sr., two potential Democratic candidates for 74th District House of Delegates seat occupied by Joe Morrissey are endorsing Lamont Bagby for June 9 primary. Former Richmond Mayor Leonidas Young and Bagby will battle for the nomination.

March 23– Del. Joe Morrissey moved outside his district to the Richmond neighborhood of Church Hill. His new home is located in the district Morrissey would like to represent in Virginia Senate. Morrissey plans to stay in the Virginia House of Delegates despite state constitution clearly stating “a senator or delegate who moves his residence from the district for which he is elected shall thereby vacate his office.”
