Business process outsourcer Liberty-Source PBC, has made plans to open an operation at Fort Monroe and bring along almost 600 jobs, reports The Richmond-Times Dispatch.
Governor McAuliffe announced on Wednesday via news release that the company is set to invest $1.5 million in the former Army base in Hampton.
President and CEO Steve Hosley said that Virginia is the ideal location for the company, which provides financing, accounting, human resources, customer care and other support services.
“With over 30,000 active military from all five branches in the greater Hampton Roads area, Fort Monroe provides us access to a highly skilled and dedicated workforce,” remarked Hosley.
McAuliffe approved a $300,000 grant from the Governor’s Opportunity Fund in order to assist Hampton with the project.
