Third-party Libertarian candidate Robert Sarvis is getting attention recently. While he is not drawing enough votes to win the governor’s seat this November, he is garnering more media attention.
In an election year hosting millions of dollars spent on campaign advertising, Sarvis trails significantly behind Cuccinelli’s and McAuliffe’s millions of fundraised dollars. This isn’t holding Sarvis back; despite not participating in the gubernatorial debates, recent polls show Sarvis pulling in 5-to-10 percent of the vote.
However, Sarvis’s limited budget leaves him out of the battle on the airwaves the Cuccinelli and McAuliffe campaigns are waging.
